Queen for a day

Hi hi.

This is my card for today.

The image is by Sherri Baldy (image 668) and is coloured with copics.  For the layout I followed  sketch #77 from Papertake Weekly Challenge.  In the background I added some blue lace and some white lace, then topped with a blue ribbon with lace prints on it.  To two corners I added some metal corners.

Added some flourish die cuts and ribbon roses.

The  sentiment reads "Queen for a day on your Birthday".  Added some faux stitching around the sentiment banner.

This is a close up of the coloured image.  Some blue mini rhinestones were added to the crown for some bling.

I hope you like what you see.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting.
Have a lovely weekend.
Phi.

Green, Yellow, and a big button

Hello everyone,

My son comes home from school today and tells me one of his helper teachers is leaving.  He needs a goodbye card stat.  So I rushed to put one together for him.

I kept it pretty CAS.  The background was made with a border stamp by BasicGrey (Crumpets set).  I inked the stamp with Yoyo Yellow ink (Stampin Up!) and stamped it three times, reinked it and stamped the next three lines and so on.  I was really pleased with the outcome and had so much fun.

The sentiment reads "You will be missed".

The "washi tape" under the sentiment are actually stamped from an Inspired by Stamping set called Washi Tape.  I love this stamp set.  Never run out of washi tape again AND have them in any colour you want.

Added faux stitching, a flower die cut, a huge wooden button, and some satin ribbon and the card is done.  Quicker than a boy asking "Is my card ready yet" 50 times.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I have enjoyed making this simple card.  Hope you have enjoyed seeing it.
Have a lovely weekend.
Phi

Lilac and Lavender

Hello crafters and friends,

Today's card is a pretty monochromatic one.  One that's all shades of purple and lilac.

The image is one by Sherri Baldy who kindly shared it as a freebie.  They are the prettiest little darlings.

To the card I added some purple trimmed lace and sheer purple organza ribbon from my stash.  Also attached a purple butterfly charm and some paper flowers and leaves.  A paper doily was also added to the background but as you can see its almost completely covered by the image.

A close up of the girls.  They were coloured with copics.
