Rainbow Balloons

Hi Friends,

Okay, this is my last post for MFT's second week of summer school. And it should also be my forth and final post for the day. Boy, I've been busy!

I enjoyed playing with the rainbow patterned paper and MFT's Birthday Balloon dies so much that I made another card with them.

This time I didn't struggle so much with the 'visual triangle' compared to my last card...since I'm experienced and all 😃.

Another CAS rainbow card.  Nothing makes me happier!
Cheers,
Phi

Birthday Balloons

Hi Friends,

Yet another post from me today for MFT's second week of summer school.  This card focuses on 'Visual Triangle' and 'Rainbow'.  You can read MFT's post on Visual Triangle HERE, and the post on Rainbow HERE.

This card came together so fast it took no time at all....except for the visual triangle part!  I struggled a bit with the placement of the balloons being new to the whole visual triangle thing.  I hope I've interpreted it correctly.

With the busy rainbow patterned paper I wanted to keep everything else plain to calm things down a little.  All the elements were cut out with dies, sentiment was stamped with versamark ink and embossed in white.

There's just something about rainbows that make you happy!
Thanks to all who dropped by today.
Smiles,
Phi

Dream Big Panda

Hello again friends,

I'm back again today with another card for MFT's second week of summer school.  This card focuses on 'Focal Point' and 'Monochromatic'.

This is a CAS card with plenty of open white space.  The background is lightly blended behind the main images to draw the eye to the focal point. The frame was made using a stitch border die to provide subtle interest. Panda and candle image is stamped then cut out with dies.

Overall, a simple yet adorable card, wouldn't you say?
Thanks for having a peek at my post.
Have a great day,
Phi

Ombre Love

Hello Friends,

Here to join the fun with MFT's second week of Summer School 2018.  Today's card combine the concepts of Monochromatic and Ombre.  You can read about the Monochromatic post HERE, and the Ombre post HERE.

A very quick card to put together with red and pink shades blended over a stencil for a beautiful ombre background. Everything else was kept very simple, die cut L O V E letters and a sentiment strip.

Thank you for stopping by.
Smiles,
Phi.

Blue Butterflies

Hi Friends,

I have a monochromatic card to share with you today.  Just made it in time to join the latest MFT sketch challenge.

I used a very old set of butterfly dies for this card.  In fact this whole card was made with dies. The leafy background was stencilled using a leafy diecut and the confetti is the punched out holes from the butterflies with glossy accents added to the top. Nothing wasted!  Only the sentiment was stamped.

I love how the card turned out.  I hope you like it too.
Thank you for visiting my little blog.
Have a great day,
Phi.

Heart Tree

Hello Friends,

My daughter tells me this card looks a little morbid and I will have to agree.  I really struggled with this colour combo from the latest MFT colour challenge.

The background panel was embossed then the oval space and sides were masked and blended with distressed inks. Washi tape was then added to the sides.  Add a stacked diecut tree, little heart, and embossed sentiment strip.  Lastly glossy accents was added to the little heart for the final touch.

I'm unsure about this card.  Please let me know what you think.
Thanks for visiting.
Phi.

Birthday Feathers

Hi Friends,

Just popping in for a second quick post today.  I really enjoyed the colours of my last card so I made another using some leftovers.

I had this beautifully blended frame left over from my last card so I had to use it.  Diecut some additional feathers, emboss a sentiment strip and lightly dust some colour in the background.  Add some splatters and confetti and this card came together very quickly.

Oh, I am loving this colour combo!
Thank you so much for visiting.
Phi.

Hello Birthday Girl

Hello Friends,

Today I have a card showcasing beautiful orangy purple colours.

The background was made using an ink blending tool and various inks.  Add some stamped and diecut flowers, stacked hello diecut, and an embossed sentiment strip. Scattered some nuvo drops and sequins as the final touches and this card is done.

Aren't the colours just so pretty!
I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you for stopping by.
Smiles,
Phi
