Stars and Snowflakes

Hi Friends,

The card I'm sharing today is a Christmas card featuring non-traditional colours.

On watercolour paper I loosely painted six squares with Black Soot Distress ink with hints of some lilac, green, and blue.  Then, on another piece of watercolour paper I painted large sections of purple, green and blue which once dried, I used to die-cut my snowflakes.  To give some of the snowflake layers sparkle and a different tone, I swiped the Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink pad over some of the snowflakes.  Then I stacked the them.  So pretty, but as always, the camera never captures the shimmer.

To put the card together, I quickly swiped the edges of the grey card base with the same Silver Delicata ink pad.  The greeting and some snowflakes were stamped on the watercoloured panel and the panel then adhered to the card base.  Lastly, all the beautiful snowflakes were attached.  The stars on the card are cutouts from the die-cut snowflakes which were too pretty to throw away or hidden so on they go onto the card too.

That's it for today.  I hope you have enjoyed visiting.
Smiles,
Phi.
