Hello Bloggers,
I am so excited to be sharing this card with you.
I created a subtle background by stamping some word stamps in versamark, from a stamp set called Favorite Features by See-Ds. Then embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Hopefully this picture shows the lovely sheen on the embossed background.
Ribbon, button, and cloud die cuts were added to the card. Also added a mini handcut butterfly. Glitter was used to highlight the butterfly and the heart on the baby wings. Faux stitching was added to the clouds to make it stand out a little more.
I kept the whole background white as I really wanted to show off my little coloured image.
The image is called Butterfly Baby by Krista Smith and is coloured with copics using the no-lines technique. This is my first attempt at colouring this way and seriously I didn't know what I was doing half the time. Not an easy way to colour my friends. Needless to say I went super slow. Thankfully, there is a super talented lady called Zoe from Make it Crafty. I have watched her colouring videos many times before I felt ready to try this awesome colouring technique. Quite a long time later I ended up with this little cutie. I know I have a long way to go before I can colour like Zoe but oh! was I proud of myself. Not bad for a first try. Not bad at all!! If you ignore some wonky bits and squint your eyes then this baby is just perfect...LOL.
The inside of the card is subtly decorated with clear embossing and a another handcut mini butterfly. The words read "Darling dimples".
Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today.
Goodnight everyone.
Phi.
