It must be love

A good day to everyone.

The other weekend I was in need of a wedding card.  I realised that I didn't have any in my stash so to make up for it I put one together just in case the need arises again.

This beautiful image is from Tiddly Inks called "Forever Yours" and is coloured with copics.

In the background I used a stencil with gesso to create some leaf patterns to add some texture.  Gesso was also applied to the edges of the frame to create more dimension and a shabby chic look.

The sentiment reads "it must be Love"...a stamp from a Grace Tayler stamp set.

The card was finished off with some handmade flowers, leafy flourish die-cuts, and some seam binding ribbon from crafty ribbons.

I very much enjoyed making the card.  I hope you like it and enjoyed your visit today.
Have a great weekend.
Phi

Neko

Wow it has been a very long time since my last post.

Today I would like to share a card made with a very cute digi called Neko drawn by Kayleigh of Mad Hatters Designs.  She was coloured with copics and her dress and socks were paper pieced.

The sentiment and frame stamps are from the Polka Dot Greetings set by My Favorite Things .  The card was finished off with a heart button and some twine.

For the layout I followed this sketch.

Non traditional Stockings

Hello friends,

Today I have a Christmas card in non traditional colours.

The image is called Stockings by Saturated Canary.  Coloured her with copics in non-traditional Christmas colours.

For the layout I followed the current monthly sketch over at Bearly Mine Challenges.

Lastly I embellished the card with a snowflake die cut, some hemp cord, a button, and a mini tag with a tiny sentiment that reads "Merry Christmas".  Hmm... perhaps I should have stamped the sentiment the other way.  It looks a little upside down.

I hope you like my non-traditional Christmas card.
Thank you for visiting today.
Phi

Christmas Gossmere

Hi hi,

It has been a while since I've picked up my copics and coloured something.  For this card I jumped right in.......and it took me forever to colour.

The image is called Gossmere from Tiddly Inks.  I have adapted her for a Christmas card and coloured her in traditional Christmas colours.  Replaced her spooky sceptre with mistletoe (leaf punchies)

The papers are freebies from Simply Cards magazine by Hot Off The Press (Vintage Christmas range).  The sentiment reads "Merry Christmas" and along with the swirl stamps, are also freebies  from the same magazine.

Copic colours used:
Dress:  R20 R24 R27 R29 E19
Crown:  Y15 Y35 Y38
Skin:  E00 E01 E02 E11 E25 R20
Hair:  E13 E15 E18
Whites: C0 C1
Ground:  W1 W2 W3 W5

The mistletoe and mini poinsettias are made with punches.  Added some rhinestones for the mistletoe berries and also to add some bling.  Added some liquid pearl for the center of the poinsettias.

I've seen many cards out there using frantage and love the effect it gives.  I would have loved to use it for the snow on all the layers of the card but as I don't have any I've used white embossing powder instead.

All layers of the card were distressed with TH Vintage Photo and a pair of old scissors.

That's all from me today.
Thank you so much for visiting my little blog.
Hope you liked my card
Phi

Colleen Bow

Hello friends,

I have just learnt how to tie a "Colleen Bow" and wanted to show it off on this gift card holder I made. As soon as I knew what I wanted to do, this card took 10 minutes to put together.

First I stamped and embossed some small snowflake on cream cardstock.  Then stamped the sentiment in red. I glittered the edges with chunky glitter I had in my stash for over a year and have not used.  Then comes the bow.  To see how to tie this bow, click on the link above.  This bow is so gorgeous I didn't think the card needed anything else.  To finish, I stuck the cream panel, bow and all, onto white card.

On the inside I created a little pocket for a gift card to sit.  Used cream cardstock and matching ribbon to finish off.

And there you have it.  A pretty little gift card holder.  It's so easy and quick to put together that you could easily make a heap in no time ready for Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Birthday Pocket

Hi,

Today I'm sharing with you a pocket/gift card holder I made.

The sentiment I have added with the chalkboard technique.
The layout I have followed a sketch #3 from Inspired by Stamping.
The colours were chosen to match the #2 colour challenge from Inspired by Stamping (white, pink, teal).

To finish off the pocket, edges were inked, lace, twine, and a button were added.

A very quick post from me today.
Thank you for stopping by.
